How I help . . .
Though they never pushed me to go into accounting, both of my parents have found their calling in the accounting industry. Taking an accounting class in high school helped me fall in love with the organization and structure surrounding the profession. Public accounting offers ample opportunities to serve others in a multitude of industries. This ensures my day-to-day life is never dull and never looks the same.
As I expanded my accounting knowledge, my love for auditing grew and flourished. The number one thing I like to remind others about auditors is that we are not the IRS. We are not collecting penalties or back taxes. We are truly here to help our clients, whether that’s through strengthening internal controls, analyzing financial reports to determine how practices within the entity are setting it up for financial success, or by simply providing an understanding between the “why” and “how” financial employees complete their jobs on a daily basis.
My favorite aspect of my job is our ability to know our clients on a deep and personal level. We work with truly great people who make it easy to come into work every day. The relationships built in this career can last a lifetime!
