How I help . . .

As far back as I can remember, I wanted to be an accountant. My father was an accountant, as was my best friend’s father. What I love most about working in accounting is meeting entrepreneurs and learning how they make their businesses successful.

Payroll is never boring. Every week is full of challenges and excitement as we race towards payday and government deadlines. As technology changes, so does our opportunities to provide new and improved services. National companies have taken people out of the equation by providing low-cost, low-service payroll offerings. Our service provides a local option for our clients that keeps a friendly face involved. I enjoy being available to answer questions and solve problems for our clients instead of sending them to a call center.

“I spend most of my time with my wife raising our four daughters. If I manage to sneak away, you’ll find me on the golf course with friends or enjoying a cold beverage while watching the Jayhawks, Chiefs, Royals or the PGA Tour.”

What does above + beyond mean to you?

That we can always do more for our clients. We should never settle for doing just the basics. It means being a trusted advisor. Always being available to assist in providing a solution to a problem.

What are some of your favorite things?

I love Japanese food and one of my favorite local haunts is Tanner’s Bar and Grill. I like listening to country and western music and in my free time I like to spend time with my four daughters.

Do you have any specialized skills outside of work?

I'm certified to skipper a sailboat in light to moderate winds.

What do you enjoy most about your work at Adams Brown?

That we are able to help so many people in a variety of ways. This includes both our clients and our team. I also have opportunities to grow and learn every day.

What is your family like and what are some things you like to do together?

I have four young daughters whose time is spent doing dance and gymnastics. When we all have some time, I love taking them on trips and experiencing new places with them.
