How I help . . .
The new buzz in the business world is to define your “why.” The “why” for me is truly doing my best to help others around me. That extends to the staff within our walls, and helping them to learn, grow, and advance in their careers. It also extends to our clients and working to understand their challenges, opportunities, and how we can help them.
Recently, I had the opportunity to work with a client who was attempting to pass the business that he founded and grew to a group of key employees who did not have the financial means to simply “buy it.” Working with the founder and the buyer group of employees to craft a buy-out that was both financially feasible, incredibly tax efficient, and allowed both sides to accomplish some safety nets and boundaries was an example of why I love what I do! The cherry on top was the ability to continue to work with the new owners and watch them continue to grow the business.
Our firm is growing alongside the increasing needs of the client, which allows us to help with complex tax planning, research and development credits, cost segregation, and other advisory services. Watching the effect that just this one transaction and client relationship has on the family tree for the seller, the buyer group, and the ripples that it will have for generations to come is incredibly rewarding!
