A Glimpse into the Internship Experience
Adams Brown is committed to offering an enriching internship experience, far from the stereotype of mundane tasks and coffee runs. Here’s what our interns can expect:
- Real Work, Real Impact: Interns are trained to handle the same responsibilities as our full-time staff, ensuring they acquire valuable skills and experience.
- Diverse Opportunities: Depending on the department, daily tasks vary, providing a comprehensive view of our operations. See more below.
- Continuous Learning and Support: Your dedicated internship site coordinator will serve as your “go-to guide” throughout your internship. Our internship program is designed to provide exposure to all areas of public accounting. Together with your internship site coordinator, you will complete a checklist of assignments. Through this checklist process, our interns gain exposure to not only all areas of tax accounting, but also to auditing, financial services, payroll, compilation and forecasting.
- Flexible Schedules: Our schedule is flexible to accommodate part-time or full-time work. The firm will coordinate with your college class schedule in order to design a work schedule that is suitable to your needs.
- Professional Growth: The opportunity to move up to student worker or full-time positions is a tangible benefit, coupled with access to resources like Becker CPA Materials.
Our interns engage in a range of activities:
- Tax Interns: Prepare tax returns, learn about various tax codes and gain software skills.
- Audit Interns: Conduct fieldwork, participate in client meetings and work on diverse forms.
- IT Interns: Develop applications, work on data analytics and partake in solution-oriented team meetings.
- CAS Interns: Engage in bank reconciliations, assist with payroll and create reports, gaining proficiency in key accounting software.
